A message from Iain…

iain at salon m hairdressers wallasey“Following Shaun’s passing in March after battling cancer, it’s time for me to announce my official retirement from Salon M. Losing Shaun has been the worst thing to happen in my life and was traumatic on so many levels. However, one thing I had was the time to talk things over with him, about how I could move forward.

Retirement was part of that conversation. We had already planned that we were both going to go part-time and spend much more time in his beloved Italy. Sadly he never made it. So it’s time to re-evaluate and make living my best life a number one priority.

I’ve had a great life as a hairdresser and a varied and interesting career. I’ve met some lovely people over the years and some of them have become friends for life. But now it’s time to pass on the crown to someone else and allow them to make their mark on the world of hairdressing.

Thank you to all of my clients for your years of loyalty and support, particularly this past difficult year. You know who you are.You will still see me now and again calling in to see the girls and get my hair cut but my time in the salon is over. Time for new adventures and new beginnings for all of us but I’ll never forget the good times I’ve had and shared with others at Salon-M.

My love to you all and I hope our paths cross in the future and we have the chance for a coffee and a catch-up. Take care everyone and don’t forget – life is short, chase your dreams and don’t ever regret that you didn’t do something. Do it and say – “at least I tried.”
